About Bonnie

Bonnie "Dalaba" Carter was singing before an audience by age 3. Soon after she began taking piano lessons. Her first time performing on the piano before an audience was in third grade when accompanying the elementary school orchestra. She continued taking private lessons until she was a Junior in High School.

While in High School, Bonnie sang with the vocal ensemble "New Tomorrows" as well as toured each summer with Ohio Teen Tempos, a group of the best young talents from around the state of Ohio.

Voice lessons were started in her freshman year of college. Although she did not continue with private piano lessons, her skills were kept active while accompanying other vocal students during their instruction. In the sophomore year she was asked to join a touring promotional group for the university called "New Song". It was during this time that some professional artists began to take note of her abilities.
With their advice and support behind her, she began to travel from church to church giving concerts. As her experience and ability grew, her bookings soon escalated to up to 12 bookings a weeks. At the request of many of her concert attendees, she recorded her first album in 1982 at the age of twenty-two.

This took her concerts to the next level - beginning to tour not only the United States but Europe as well.

She continued touring for the next eight years.

At the urging of family, Bonnie completed her college education adding an Elementary Education major to her music studies. She completed her degree in December of 1989. She began giving private lessons in voice and piano while teaching in various schools. These lessons were offered after school from students she taught during the day.

Never one to stay idle, she started singing with her church worship team, choirs, and when needed - stepped up as the pianist and finally as music director.

Voice and Piano lessons given from her home studio began in September of 2010 and continue to this day.
